We’re not just educators—we’re parents first. Like so many families, we wanted the best possible education for our children—one that was academically rigorous, deeply diverse, and filled with real-world learning experiences. But as we searched, we quickly realized something: it didn’t exist.

Research shows that by middle school, 75% of students lose interest in school, finding it mundane and disconnected from the real world. We wanted something different—a place where academic excellence, cultural identity, and hands-on, purposeful learning collide. Since we couldn’t find it, we built it.

Beyond being parents, we are trained educators with experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels. We’ve nearly completed the rigorous Montessori training process (3/4 of the way there!) and have worked in various educational settings, giving us the perspective and expertise to design a school that works for real learners in today’s world.

So allow us to reintroduce ourselves: We are two parents on a mission.

A mission to create a school that:

  • Prepares learners for adulthood with real skills and academic excellence

  • Honors their culture through coming-of-age rituals and identity-affirming experiences

  • Challenges them intellectually while making learning meaningful and engaging

  • Inspires them to become passionate changemakers ready to lead in their communities and the world

Morning Glory Academy is more than a school—it’s the education we wish all children could have. We’re building it for our children, for your children, and for the next generation of bold, brilliant, and empowered learners.

At Morning Glory Academy, we cultivate self-driven learners who thrive not just academically but as whole individuals—equipped to navigate challenges, pursue their passions, and make meaningful contributions to the world. Our education sparks curiosity, fuels purpose, and prepares students for a future that extends far beyond the classroom.

We believe learning should be relevant, personalized, and aligned with each student’s aspirations. Whether a learner is interested in pursuing a college degree, earning industry certifications, or exploring creative and technical fields, we provide the support and flexibility to help them take those steps while still in school.

Through individualized learning pathways, students can:

  • Begin earning college credits while completing high school.

  • Pursue certifications that align with their career interests.

  • Engage in real-world learning experiences, using the world as their classroom.

  • Gain hands-on experience in film and media production, working directly with industry professionals, filmmakers, and creative experts to develop practical skills for careers in film, media, and the arts.

At Morning Glory Academy, education is not just about meeting requirements—it’s about preparing learners for their next chapter, whatever that may be. Whether they choose higher education, industry certification, or direct entry into creative careers, we ensure they have the tools, experience, and confidence to succeed.

We Believe in Education for Life, Not Just Tests

At Morning Glory Academy, families can expect an engaging, student-centered experience that nurtures curiosity, independence, and real-world readiness. Our approach ensures that every learner feels seen, challenged, and inspired as they develop the academic skills, creativity, and confidence needed for lifelong success.

Here’s what families can expect:

A Personalized Learning Journey – Every child progresses at their own pace, guided by their interests and strengths while meeting academic milestones. Learning is meaningful and self-directed, ensuring students stay engaged and motivated.

Mastery-Based Assessment – Instead of traditional grades, students work toward mastery of skills and concepts using a badge system, which allows them to demonstrate learning through projects, hands-on experiences, and real-world applications.

Hands-On, Purpose-Driven Learning – Education extends beyond textbooks. Students solve real-world problems, create films, engage in community projects, and apply knowledge in meaningful ways that prepare them for future careers and life.

A Diverse and Inclusive Environment – We celebrate cultural identity, diversity, and global perspectives. Learners participate in coming-of-age rituals, storytelling, and projects that connect them to their history, community, and the world.

Montessori-Designed Adolescent Learning – Our approach is rooted in scientifically backed Montessori principles and traditional curriculum, creating a structured yet flexible learning environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world skills.

Preparation for the Future – Whether students aim for college, industry certifications, entrepreneurship, or creative careers, we help them design individualized pathways that support their long-term goals.

A Supportive Community – Families are active partners in the learning journey, with regular learner-led conferences, mentorship, and opportunities to engage in their child’s education.

At Morning Glory Academy, we are creating an experience where education is not something students endure—it’s something they own, explore, and love. Families can expect a school where children grow academically, emotionally, and socially, gaining the skills they need to thrive in adulthood and make a difference in the world.

By middle school, 75% of students lose interest in learning. We're reigniting the spark.
